COMPANY HISTORY

ENERGIA /PBS KFT began operations in Hungary in 1991.  All products are made with  proven, cost effective, American explosive  technology.  ENERGIA/PBS KFT was the first in the central European region to begin manufacturing and selling emulsion products.  Our company and its products are recognized and used in the region. We not only sell products in Hungary but also export products to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Romania.  ENERGIA/PBS KFT products will produce maximum energy and superior fragmentation at the lowest cost.

We manufacture many ANFO products.  Products include regular Anfo. Aluminized ANFO and various grades of Heavy Anfo (Anfo plus emulsion) and a high energy product called ANFO PLUS.

We can supply companies with the right energy explosive product at the lowest price to fit any rock type or job condition.

INTRODUCTION TO EMULSIONS

Emulsion explosives are made from small droplets of saturated ammonium nitrate solution surrounded by oil. The small uniform emulsion droplets provide high detonation velocity and a rapid release of energy.  The detonation velocities of emulsion products are higher than that of other older commercial explosive products.  Emulsion products because of the outer oil phase surrounding the ammonium nitrate droplets provide outstanding water resistance for many days. The base emulsion matrix is not classified as an explosive therefore it provides safety advantages and also lower costs for shipping and storage.  Our sensitized emulsion products are sensitized with microspheres which are uniform and have diameters measured in microns.  We use no unreliable chemical gassing methods to sensitize our cartridged products.  For this reason we can have longer shelf life and uniform, stable product performance.  Our emulsion products contain 100% ammonium nitrate as the oxidizer.  We use no low energy compounds such as sodium nitrate or calcium nitrate in our products.

ANDO-ÉV EMULSION EXPLOSIVES (CAP SENSITIVE)

The ANDO-EV products are cap sensitive to a number 8 strength electric or non-electric blasting cap.  These high energy products can be used in surface and underground applications.  Cartridges can be ordered in 28 mm through 90 mm diameters.

ANDO-V EMULSION EXPLOSIVES (NON-CAP SENSITIVE)

The ANDO-V products are not cap sensitive and instead are blasting agents.  The can be used in both surface and underground applications.  The products require a 200 g booster to initiate.  The products are available in cartridges and bulk.  The cartridged products are available in diameters of 50 mm through 90 mm. 

Produces include bulk ANDO-V emulsion matrix called  Energetic – A.  This Emulsion Matrix is used in bulk trucks or for site mixing.  The ANDO-V products do not require storage in explosive magazines in some countries.                          

ANFO EXPLOSIVES (NON-CAPSENSITIVE)

ENERGIA – PBS KFT offers the broadest range of ANFO products in the region.  We can produce many ANFO products with different densities and energies.  We have the right ANFO products to fit any job condition or rock type.  The proper ANFO product can efficiently lower production costs

PRIMERS FOR ANFO

A high energy ANDO-EV product is specially designed to offer the maximum energy for priming ANFO and Heavy ANFO products.  The ANDO–EV-P primer (BOOSTER) will initiate ANFO products releasing the maximum energy without any low velocity or burning reaction occurring in the ANFO products.

SEISMIC MONITORING SERVICES

We provide seismic monitoring services for mining, demolition, and construction projects to insure that vibration and airblast are within the regulated limits.  The seismic monitoring can be conduct to protect industrial buildings as well as residential structures. We also can provide both photographic and video pre-blast surveys to document conditions of structures to reduce false complaints and requests for unjustified payment of blasting damage. The pre-blast surveys are documentation that can protect against false damage claims of damage after the blasting has been completed.  Our vibration specialists can help blasting operations change their blast designs so that vibration and airblast limits are not exceeded.
